All the beaches are lifeguarded from May to September by the RNLI from 10am to 6pm. Below is a guide to the local beaches that Waves Surf School uses for teaching. Please ask your friendly lifeguard for advice and guidance on any given day.

Padstow

All beaches surround the beautiful port of Padstow in Cornwall.

Porthcothan

This is a long narrow bay and a popular family beach which is relatively safe for surfing throughout the tide. A public car park and toilets are located across the road from the beach and Porthcothan Stores offers a well stocked shop for all you beach needs including hot and cold food and drinks.


Surf School nr Padstow

Harlyn

A long sandy beach located North of Trevose Head. It is a relatively safe beach popular with families. Best surf tends to be found here from mid to high tide when the most exposed beaches are rougher. There is a large car park with public toilets. Refreshments are available at 'Food for Thought' located in the car park or the Harlyn Pub found across the road.

Constantine

This is a wide, dangerous beach to the North of Treyarnon with multiple rip currents. Popular with experienced surfers, it is safest from mid to high tide. All water users should take note of life guard signs and flags. There is a small car park with public toilets and overflow parking available in high season. Refreshments available at 'Snak Attack' located in the car park.
